[Review] Casio Exilim EX-MR1 | Part 1 of 2

Ever wonder you're taking picture like you're looking at the mirror? Or ever wonder to have a mirror that act as a camera as well? I always wanted to have one because it looks super awesome! Take a picture by looking at a mirror, or camera that can be used as mirror as well. Hah!

Casio has become a must-have for every girl. Proud to say that I own 3 Casio cameras! Been using TR15 for sometimes and I still love it! They continued to explore on technology and here come's the new selfie camera, Casio Exilim EX-MR1. I would say MR1 is gonna be another hit because this selfie camera is only 1/3 the price of TR camera, which is RM1199.

There are 3 different colours for MR1, green, pink and white. Different colours of cameras have different colours of outlines too!

What's so special about MR1?

I pick my all-time favourite colour, WHITE! Looking at the design, I genuinely falling in love with it. The design is trendy and the combination of white and gold, classy to bring out with me!

----------"Mirror" Coating and Lens----------

The "mirror" coating of the front screen enables us to take selfie by just looking at the "mirror". MR1 achieves the best matching of mirrored image and shot image, means What You See Is What You Got! Of course the wide angle lens still existed with 21mm wide angle.

The buttons of the MR1 is minimised, everything is simple and easy to explore. 

This feature is a bonus for this selfie camera, because I realised some girls like to look at the screen when they're taking selfie, end up the eyes looking upward. So weird! One special thing about MR1 is you just have to look at the mirror, because the lens is placing inside the mirror. No more awkward eye direction! 

----------Built-in Wi-Fi----------

Need no further introduction of the built-in wifi, because Casio knew it's extremely important for selfie camera HEH. Download "EXILIM Link" App, press the Wifi logo button and connect to the smartphone, as easy as that!

I tried to explore this effect once I've got MR1. I love this feature! It can blurred the background to your favourite point. However google doesn't show how to use this feature, so let me show you how to do it!

1. Choose picture that you wanted to use this effect, then press the "SET" button.

2. This screen will show up, choose "Blur Effect".

3. Then, you will have to adjust the position that you do not want to be blurred. Press "MENU" button.

4. Move the point to your desired non-blurred area by pressing the up button as pointed in the picture, and press down, left or right button to move to any point you want.

5. Then, press "MENU" button again to adjust the size of the non-blurred area.

6. Bigger the non-blurred area by pressing the up button as pointed in the picture, or down button to reduce the size. You can even press "MENU" button again to adjust your position of non-blurred area again.

7. Once done adjusting size and position, press "SET" button, there are 3 levels of blurred level for you to choose from, just press any level then press "SET" again.

8. Here you go! Super easy actually, but took me some time to discover it because no one shows the steps! :/
