They say Bangkok trip wouldn't be complete if never visit to Grand Palace in bkk. So my boyfriend and I decided to get another free tour and visit to the Grand Palace. Ticket is not included as well so have to pay for it. Grand Palace is a dazzling, spectacular building, undoubtedly the city's most famous landmark. It built in 1782, and for 150 years the home of the Thai King, the Royal court and the administrative seat of government. The Grand Palace of Bangkok is a grand old dame indeed, that continues to have visitors in awe with its beautiful architecture and intricate detail, all of which is a proud salute to the creativity and craftsmanship of Thai people. Within its walls were also the Thai war ministry, state departments, and even the mint. Today, the complex remains the spiritual heart of the Thai Kingdom.
There are a lot of tourists here, imagine every picture you took with other people inside. LOL
The Hermit Doctor
The Green Demon Guard
Every picture also full of tourists. @@
So hot!
Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Phra Kaew, which contains the small, very famous and greatly revered Emerald Buddha that dates back to the 14th century. The robes on the Buddha are changed with the seasons by HM The King of Thailand, and forms an important ritual in the Buddhist calendar. Thai Kings stopped living in the palace around the turn of the twentieth century, but the palace complex is still used to mark all kinds of other ceremonial and auspicious happenings.
Impressive artwork
Angel Guard
Monkey and Demon Guards
Mini Angkor Wat
This place is really huge, we take about 3 hours to finish the tour.
Last photo with the royal guard.
There is a strict dress code for visiting the Grand Palace too. Men have to wear long pants and sleeved shirts while women also have to wear something similar to cover the bare skin. There are many stalls selling scarfs or shawls outside at kinda expensive price for those who came unprepared. Luckily I brought my scarf and managed to cover my legs.
May I know what camera do you use to take those pictures and what app to edit them? thanks :)
